How the Account Works
- Beneficiaries of the uniChild Account should be a minor (less than 18 years) of age.
- The account would be held in trust for the minor by the guardian.
- On attainment of 18+ years, the guardian could write to indicate the handing over of the account to the beneficiary
- No withdrawal would be allowed by the minor
- Account would be operated by the guardian
- Account shall not have access to ATM
Additional Benefits - Insurance Cover
- uniBank Child Account has a compulsory Life Assurance. This makes the uniChild Account unique.
- Customers are assured of adequate financial package for the child in case the parent/ guardian dies or is permanently disabled.
- Premiums – This can be paid monthly in advance preferably at the beginning of every month
Duration of Cover The minimum Life Cover for any account holder under this product would be 60 months or 5 years. The Life Assurance package has no cash value and hence cannot be surrendered for cash.
Waiting Period The Life cover has a waiting period of three (3) months. Within this period, if there is an eventuality, no claim would be paid
